lola's first bath

Nice and clean!!! Don't you love the little mohawk on her nose?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY

Sorry this is late Dad! We hope you had a great birthday on Friday!!!
HAPPY 50th!!

We attempted to fit 50 candled on the cake but we only could fit 31!

We couldn't tell if Dad had a fun birthday or a depressing one because Patrick gave him a pill case, a shoe horn, and magnifying glasses because he is getting "soooo old"!
Just kidding Dad! We know you had a great day! Despite the poster......

A little bit disturbing right?

Oh well! You are still as young and as hip as ever!!!
(Don't you love that picture?? Hilarious!!)

WE LOVE YOU!!!

frustration with RUGBY

Yesterday, the whole family went to Jake's Rugby game at the Rio Tinto Stadium.
Jake and his team are all newcomers so they are still trying to understand the game as they play.

Dad, however, has known the game for years, and he knows every trick play, and almost everything else about the sport. So when he sees these a lot of these young 14 trying their hardest to understand and play the game, but failing (not all of them, just a few....not jake :) ) He gets a bit frustrated and anxious.
We saw a lot of this...
"No don't do that! Your supposed to do that! No no no! Not that!"
...twiddling of the thumbs and not being able to stop his knee from bouncing.....

"Oh come on that was a terrible call.....let the boys play"

"Dad, be quiet!! They can't hear you anyway!"

"Ah finally! They did something good!"

"See, they were supposed do go that way and do this instead of that......"

".....and they were supposed to go that way and do that instead of this.....is anyone listening?"

Well anyway, Jake had a great game (you can see him right there on the left bending down)!
Now we know where Jake gets his love of sports...from his Dad!

LOLA

Another one can't hurt right?? :)
Meet Lola

How can you resist that adorable, gorgeous, teeny, little face?

Seattle!

Jake and I just got back from Seattle last sunday. It was the greatest vacation ever!! Did I mention that it was the greatest vacation ever?!? We had so much fun playing with our ADORABLE nephews Koen and Finn, and visiting with Erin and Clay. We were always busy, and Erin did a wonderful job of planning out fun things that we could do all week! We went to the Public Market right when we got there, and loved it! We went to a horse farm, the zoo, the aquarium, a sculpture park, the music museum, the Children's museum for an egg hunt with Koen.....not done yet! We went to a Tulip Festival (my favorite), had an easter dinner, dyed eggs, and made easter cookies! We had Easter Brunch at a beautiful restaurant with an awesome view of the water, and we went to the beach! Pictures explain it all and so I am going to post a bunch! Here you go! Their are about 30 haha.

Erin and Clay, you guys are the greatest for letting us come up there and hang out with you guys for 5 days. We had the greatest time and we CANNOT wait until we can see you guys again, and mom, dad, and Jenny are even more anxious! So hurry and come here so it can be our turn to come there again!! :)
 WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!
